Wireless Spy Camera - One of the Most Modern Spy Devices

We have seen a wireless spy camera in almost any movie regarding cops or spies. They are the unmovable eyes of justice (and sometimes, of crime), alerting the protagonists of any possible danger
that may be lurking around. And nowadays, they can be integrated to almost anything: a pack of cigarettes, a button, inside sunglasses, among others. And if you shop around, you may even find a wireless spy pen camera! Isn’t it wonderful what technology can do?

What Is A Wireless Spy Camera?

A wireless spy camera is nothing but a common video camera whose size has been reduced in such a way, that it can be hidden inside almost anything. Additionally, thanks to the advance of electronics, they are capable of sending the captured video to a receiver without using wires, augmenting their usefulness in the world of security and surveillance.

But how did they appear? Spy cameras made their appearance during the cold war, when spies from both fronts searched for new ways to conceal their tools and instruments. The first spy camera made its way inside a Lucky Strike cigarette box. The user moved different cigarettes for adjusting specific functions of the camera, like the focus.

As time went by, spy cameras integrated more and more technology, to the point of becoming the almost invisible devices that can be found today in the market.

What Are the Components of a Wireless Spy Camera

The main component of a wireless spy camera is the camera itself. The manufacturer who makes it has to be very careful when designing it and building it, since a slight mistake could transform a high tech idea into low tech garbage. A spy camera is an adequate mixture of quality parts and expertise.

But wireless mini spy cameras aren’t composed only by the camera. It does require of additional components to function. Besides the camera, there is the transmitter, which is the device that converts the video captured by the camera, into a wireless signal that can be transported through air.

Additionally, there is the receiver, which is in charge of receiving the wireless signal and converting it again into a video signal. That way, the images can be seen in a common television set.

What Is the Purpose of Wireless Spy Cameras

The most common use of a wireless spy camera in a household is to check who is knocking the door without pointing an obtrusive CCTV camera to them. Homeowners can watch the visitor and he will not know that he is being watched. A wireless hidden spy camera is especially useful if you don’t want to be at home for determined outlaws.

Another use that has become quite common is for checking valuables inside a property. That way, the owner feels assured that any possible burglar won’t take time on disabling the security system since he isn’t aware that he is being watched.

Finally, there is a circumstance in which, sadly, wireless spy cameras have shown us the dark side of some human beings: childcare. Every once in a while we may watch in the news a nanny who abuses of a child, without knowing that she is being recorded by the parents.
